Wulfgar

Wulfgar the Whitetooth · ArchWarden

White-haired Obsidian hero and ArchWarden of the Republic, a true believer in law over any man.

Story so far

Wulfgar the Whitetooth is a favorite son of the Rising, an Obsidian who fought beside Ragnar at the walls of Agea and rode with the Sons of Ares that freed Darrow from the Jackal in Attica—Sevro himself put the razor in his hand in the river mud. Now ArchWarden of the Republic, he leads the Wardens who guard the Senate and disarm even the Reaper on the Forum steps. Summoned home before the Iron Rain, he missed the fall of Mercury, and he faintly rebukes Darrow for launching it against the Senate's vote: Wulfgar believes not in Darrow but in the Republic and its laws, and is one of the few men alive who might physically stop him.

Appearance

A gnarled, narrow 'tree root' of a man in his early forties, armored all in pale blue, with white hair and a beard braided like his hero Ragnar's, an angular raptor's face, and black eyes that crinkle when he smiles.

Role

ArchWarden of the Republic; principled Obsidian guardian of the Senate's law, a check on Darrow's power.

Relationships

Darrow — The Reaper he reveres yet quietly rebukes for defying the Senate—loyal to the Republic, not the man.
Sevro — The friend who first put a razor in his hand at Agea, now trading rough insults with him.
Sefi — A fellow Obsidian leader he greets with formal respect but little warmth, their priorities divided.
