Pax

the Pax · the Vanguard

The pride of the Scepter Armada, seized by Darrow through its bridge and renamed for the fallen Pax.

Story so far

The Vanguard is the deadliest ship in the Scepter Armada, seized by Darrow and Sevro when they launch themselves in starShells straight through its bridge glass, vent the compartment, and lock it down. Darrow claims it as a spoil of war and renames it the Pax—for his dead friend Pax au Telemanus—then rallies its twenty thousand lowColor crew to rise against their sixty-one Sovereign-loyal Gold officers, promising he will not vent them if they make him their commander. With Ragnar sworn to him and his Howlers landing the stork in her hangar, the ship becomes the war's first great prize.

Appearance

A titanic capital warship, barnacled with gun turrets and gilled with hangar bays; its bridge shattered and vented in Darrow's boarding.

Role

Darrow's captured flagship; the first great spoil of the war against the Sovereign.

Relationships

Darrow — Who seizes and renames it, turning its crew to his cause.
