Lysander

Lysander au Lune

The Sovereign's composed young grandson—and Lorn's grandson—who idolizes the Reaper.

Story so far

Lysander is Octavia au Lune's only grandson, no older than eight, thin and preternaturally composed, with eyes beyond gold like shining yellow crystal. He is also the grandson of Lorn au Arcos—whose retirement, Darrow realizes, was to escape what Octavia has become. Orphaned when his mother's ship was destroyed by Outriders, he is raised at the Sovereign's side and guarded fiercely by Aja.

A boyhood hero-worshipper of Darrow, he has watched the Reaper's videos six or seven times and gently intervenes to keep Darrow from a suicidal fight with the Praetorians, pleading with him to find a home in the Sovereign's court.

Appearance

A slight boy of about eight, thin as a scarf, regally composed, in a simple black coat; eyes beyond gold, like shining yellow crystal.

Role

The Sovereign's heir-grandson and Lorn's grandson; a gentle boy raised at the seat of power.
