The circus's beloved ringmaster, transformed into a colossal Pestiferous Vine — a level-85 city-boss Elite ruling the big top.

Story so far

Grimaldi — Redstone Grimaldi, the dwarf ringmaster who loved his circus family above all — was center stage when the cataclysm's poison cloud struck, and was transformed into a colossal Pestiferous Vine. Now a Level 85 City Boss and Elite, he fills the entire center ring of the big top, swallowing the pole and reaching the tent's ceiling, his python-like roots spreading above the floor to every corner. He keeps his transformed family alive and (mostly) memory-intact no matter how often they die, at the cost of enslaving them — the tragic heart of Vengeance of the Daughter and the love Tsarina Signet wars to reach.

Inside the tent his creatures perform their old acts and ignore ticket-holders. Discovering him earned Carl the 'You Can't Fight City Hall!' achievement; no crawler this season has survived a city boss. Carl, following Mordecai's method, poisoned himself and bled onto a root to try to kill the vine from within.

Appearance

A colossal pale-green vine/bush-like fungus-plant filling the big top's center ring and reaching the ceiling, its python-like roots snaking above the floor to all corners; less haphazard than a bramble, more a giant shrub.

Role

The circus quest's true antagonist and prize: a level-85 city-boss vine, and Signet's transformed beloved.

Relationships

Tsarina Signet — The love of her life, now the vine she assaults nightly to reach and, perhaps, free.
Carl — Attempts to kill him via Mordecai's self-poison-and-bleed trick from the bleachers.
