A named big-league deity, cited only to make the point that gods have owners.
Eris appears in Crawler Coolie's 19th-edition note in The Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook as one of the examples of a deity that is never simply an NPC. Some gods are genuine NPCs, Coolie writes, but the big ones like Apito and Eris and so forth are always sponsored by some rich prick who paid extra to play The Celestial Ascendency — a game contained on the twelfth floor, from which individual gods are sometimes called away. Below that floor they cannot be hurt.
A named example of the dungeon's sponsored high-tier gods.
