Story so far

The Valtay Corporation is one of the most powerful entities in the universe — a corporate system government of parasitic lifeforms that inhabit host bodies, preferring aquatic hosts like the Kua-Tin or the Gleeners. Their fleet is parked outside the Borant system, poised to collect on Borant Corporation's debt; they were hours from a full collection action when the Kua-Tin forestalled them by starting the dungeon season early. Odette warns Carl that the Valtay will run the next season — a more technological version of *Dungeon Crawler World*, heavy on android death machines and pulse rifles rather than goblins and trolls — and cautions him to be very careful if they ever try to contact him.
