The Martian Marine lieutenant commanding Bobbie's platoon on Ganymede when the monster struck.
Lieutenant Givens is Bobbie Draper's commanding officer at the Ganymede outpost. When the UN Marines charge and comms are jammed, Bobbie finds him at the center of the firing line beneath the Yojimbo mech; helmet-to-helmet, he tells her he has no more idea than she does what is happening, that jamming prevents warning the Earth troops off, and that he has authorization to fire if they cross the half-kilometer mark. He stands the line as the creature overruns the platoon.
A Martian Marine officer in powered combat armor; no distinguishing physical description is given.
