Story so far

The Shinsakuto is a Free Navy gunship assigned beside the Pella and Koto to Marco Inaros's covert hunt. It has spent weeks on the float, matching the orbits of scattered Belt debris and avoiding broadcasts, so that it can remain one more nearly invisible warm object in a vast field.

Once Fred Johnson's ship is confirmed to be the Rocinante, the Shinsakuto lights its drive with the other two wolves. Its sudden appearance turns an independent diplomatic journey into a three-to-one battle the Free Navy expects to win quickly.

Appearance

A Martian-derived Free Navy gunship with a low thermal profile while dark, then an Epstein drive and military systems engaged for a punishing coordinated hard burn; further hull details are not yet described.

Role

The Shinsakuto is the third concealed attacker that gives Marco's ambush its overwhelming numbers.
