The OPA's construction hub refits the Behemoth and gives Bull a comfort he must leave for the Ring mission.
Tycho Station is the OPA-aligned construction complex from which Fred Johnson directs major operations. Its enormous flexible gantries and industrial platforms surround the Behemoth, where construction mechs refit the former Nauvoo into a warship. The worksite's spin gravity varies below the station's standard one-third g, and machinery sends constant vibrations through its structure.
For Carlos “Bull” de Baca, Tycho has also become an unexpectedly luxurious home. His four-room quarters, high ceilings, private water supply, family pictures, and civilian possessions exceed anything he had on Earth, in the Marines, or on Ceres Station. He packs that life into a footlocker when Fred assigns him to the Ring mission.
Tycho is a vast industrial station with spin gravity, flexible scale-like construction gantries, steel platforms, heavy machinery, and tremendous open work volumes where even house-sized construction mechs look small against the Behemoth.
Tycho is the industrial and political base where the OPA turns salvaged technology into power and prepares its hurried expedition to the Ring.
