Caves of the Screeching Death Manatees

Story so far

The Caves of the Screeching Death Manatees is the environment of the tenth floor's first heat: a 53-kilometer mostly-flat asphalt road running through pitch-black terrain that opens into a vast cave mouth. Despite the 'cave' label, stars are visible overhead at the start; the road is flanked by sickly trees and glittering dark water where the Screeching Death Manatees lurk. The cave entrance becomes a chokepoint of carnage, littered with wrecked vehicles (a flaming minivan, a devoured ladybug) as the racers hit their first hazards.

Appearance

A long dark asphalt highway through sickly trees and black water, opening into an enormous cave mouth; deceptively starlit at the start.
