The Silo One Contact is a man who instructs Lukas about his duties, defending cruelty as necessary and forbidding his study of the stars.
The man on the headset questioned Lukas about his duties in a deep, hollow voice. He compared crossing a silo off his map to losing thousands of children and argued that cruelty toward people in his care was necessary to avoid losing them.
He asked Lukas to consider that only fifty silos existed in a very small part of the world and ordered him to stop pursuing his interest in the stars. Lukas recalls the man’s claim that only those fifty silos remained.
An interlocutor who directs Lukas’s conduct and explains a harsh view of silo leadership.
