Story so far

Before the breach, Prepotente pulled two potion bottles and began jumping from one foot to the other, muttering under his breath. Carl realized it was a litany of names — he recognized Miriam and Bianca among them, plus several others he didn't catch.

The litany ended on "Ragazzaccia," a name or word Carl didn't recognize at all. Then Prepotente looked up and declared, "I am ready for battle, Carl."
