The Middle Trench

Enemy Fallback Position

The enemy's designated fallback trench, secretly turned into a hidden pool of acid before the assault.

Story so far

The middle trench was the enemy's planned fallback position behind their forward trench on the Plains of Larracos. Sitting empty, it became the target of Team Retribution's NPC spies, who filled it with water, converted the water to acid with a Chemical Alteration Spell, and hid the whole thing under an illusion spell that Imani confirms is holding.

After Carl's Daughter's Kiss blew apart the first trench, retreating enemy soldiers—confused and scared—fell back and blindly jumped in. Colonel Boomer then throttles the assault deliberately so the enemy keeps thinking it's a stalemate, noting only a few of them will be dumb enough to keep jumping into it.

Appearance

An apparently empty defensive trench, actually brimming with acid beneath an illusion spell.

Role

The enemy's fallback line, turned into the killing ground of the battle.
