Story so far
Looking into the warlord menu after the conscription, Carl sees an astonishingly long list of protection spells layered around Lucia Mar — the accumulated defenses of the dungeon's most successful killer.
He adds "Turn off all protections, too," and after a moment passes, the spells simply disappear. The same category of magic appears on the divine scale when the Ball of Flesh survives being swung as a flail, glowing anew with a protection spell likely cast by a god.
