Standing crawler procedure for looting enemy dead safely and preserving the bodies for later use.
After the first wave of enemy scouts and saboteurs at the Southern Front, Carl issues explicit orders about prisoners. Captured enemies are to be kept alive but unconscious where feasible, with dungeon-born NPCs separated from mercenaries born outside the dungeon — there are spells that can turn NPCs to the crawler side.
Mercenaries have another purpose. If any give trouble, or if holding them isn't feasible or safe, the order is to kill them, loot them using the safe-looting protocols, keep the body, and report it to a superior officer, who passes the information back to base where a group of crawlers who prefer to stay out of direct fighting track the big picture.
