Story so far
Realizing that Shi Maria sits inside him like an egg he can crack at will — and only by his own hand — Carl draws the comparison directly: just like Carl's Doomsday Scenario. He reflects that he is gathering quite the collection of weapons of mass destruction.
The thought should have been an enormous relief. It is not. Between the Doomsday Scenario, the caged demigod, and the power pressing behind The Eye on his chest, Carl's arsenal has become as much a burden as an advantage.
