Sea jellyfish left stranded in Larracos's theaters by the flood, still closing the Piccadilly's balcony.
Arief mentions it first: the biggest theater in Larracos is The Piccadilly down in ring nine, but it's still a little wet — his uncle drained it and it was filled with jellyfish, and they're still cleaning it out.
When Carl reaches ring nine himself, the marquee confirms the problem is unresolved. Beneath the billing for the Session of Love it reads, in smaller letters, "Balcony still closed due to jellyfish infestation." The jellyfish join the dead sharks whose Xs litter Carl's map as evidence of just how thoroughly the sea came into the city during the Flooding.
Stranded jellyfish filling a drained theater, enough to keep an entire balcony closed to the public.
Lingering biological wreckage of the flood, still being cleared as the city prepares for war.
