Story so far
Partway across No Man's Land, Carl reaches the remnants of the dirt spine from the rot sticker defense and scrambles over it. Built as a defensive earthwork during the earlier Rot Sticker Behemoth fight, it now bisects the killing ground the crawlers have to cross.
The hazard is not only the climb: the corpses lying along it still have to be watched, because they can remain dangerous. The spine is one of several relics of previous battles littering a field that has been fought over repeatedly.
Appearance
A long ridge of piled dirt crossing the battlefield, eroded by bombardment and strewn with corpses.
Role
A leftover earthwork obstacle in the crawlers' path to the enemy trench.
