Story so far
The autoclave is a piece of alchemical apparatus Mordecai names as a mandatory component of the legitimate Heal Severe Injury recipe, along with 33 Fine Healing Potions. He raises it specifically to needle Carl, who produced the potion anyway while part spider by combining only about three potions in his inventory — with no autoclave involved and no memory of exactly what he did.
