Story so far
Elle's ninth-floor class, taken during class selection when she picked wind as her next element and went from Tundra Princess to Hailstorm Queen. Donut is thrilled that she has been promoted to queen.
Elle notes the ceiling: this is probably as far as it is going to get. She can add the final element only if she ever reaches the twelfth floor, and she is betting the whole crawl self-destructs first. That makes her class an unusually clear example of how the crawl's advancement works - elements stack across floors, and each tier renames the title upward.
