Neighboring Silo Server Room

The once-secured server room has become the survivors’ gathering place and a workshop for preparing cleaning suits.

Story so far

The neighboring silo’s enormous server room contained working machines and blinking lights even amid the surrounding ruin. A massive keypad-controlled steel door protected it, while a locking floor grate near the communications hub concealed a ladder into a passage below. Earlier events brought fighting outside, repeated unsuccessful code attempts, white vapor from overhead vents, and a shutdown followed by restored power. Jimmy’s waste and the machines’ heat later made the room foul and fly-ridden. Many machines eventually stopped running, possibly because of heat.

Juliette used the room for calls and once tried to sleep on its warm floor, finding the machinery too noisy. More recently, she and Raph stopped smoke entering by blocking the hatch with a server tower. The room became the proposed gathering place for all survivors, who assembled to eat and hear Juliette’s escape proposal. It is now a workshop for preparing cleaning suits.
