Upper Cafeteria

The upper cafeteria serves the silo’s upper forty-eight levels and offers a broad outside view; a small crowd now watches lifeless hills.

Story so far

At the top of the stairs, the Upper Cafeteria is one of the silo's widest rooms and provides its largest uninterrupted view of the outside world. It shares a level with the Airlock and adjoins the Sheriff's Office, making it a place where meals, the outside display, and events surrounding cleaning meet. Workers restrained Allison here after she tried to reach the airlock. On another occasion, residents filled the room to celebrate the cleaning and look outside.

The cafeteria serves residents of the upper forty-eight levels, accommodating two lunch shifts and two dinner shifts. Lukas uses its wallscreen to observe the night sky. Mission Jones has seen construction beside the wallscreens; Frankie reported that sprouts were being grown here and that corn might also be grown. Mission also ate breakfast here while watching the sunrise.

The latest view of eighteen's cafeteria shows a small crowd gathered around a wallscreen displaying lifeless hills. The room continues to draw residents to its shared view of the outside.
