Story so far
Scottie trained under Juliette, becoming close to her and skilled in electronics and pump timing chips; he also shadowed Walker. IT recruited him from Mechanical. He secretly supplied Juliette with computer records, warning her not to be caught with them, and later called her to his office to discuss the strange program Deagan Knox had forwarded.
Fearful of cleaning, Scottie printed the program and asked Juliette to take it away. He claimed to have deleted every copy and sought a transfer back to Mechanical. In a later wire, he admitted that he had kept studying the material: its pixel density did not match the big screen. Distrusting porters, he sent this discovery by wire despite the cost, again pleading to return to Mechanical because he felt unsafe. The message preceded his death.
Walker remembered his former shadow and the limits of his ability to protect him, while Juliette continued to grieve. Scottie had also obtained heat tape for her. During her latest outside mission, she credits him with helping her survive her own cleaning.
