Sims

The old IT Security chief, Sims is reported dead after being trapped with Lukas as mist filled the server room.

Story so far

A former technician whose increasing size led him into different work, Sims became head of IT Security and served as executor of Bernard Holland's will. Bernard directed him to refill Jahns and Marnes's canteens, and he later took Juliette's antique wooden box. During the uprising he prepared armed defenders by shooting out a conference-room window and warning them about rifle recoil. Peter Billings reported that Sims led men into the stairwell and later planned to blast apart Mechanical's wall. Sims argued that continuing danger justified keeping Lukas confined; according to Bernard, he also investigated suspected leaks and doubted the technicians' loyalty. His team lost several men in a stairwell explosion, and radio reports placed him among those finishing the suppression of the uprising.

As the old Security chief with clearance for the server room, Sims alerted Lukas to an incoming call and unsuccessfully tried to impersonate Bernard on the headset. When mist poured from the vents, he ran for the exit with Lukas. Trapped inside, Sims developed a heavy nosebleed. Lukas subsequently reported that he was dead. Juliette recalls Lukas reporting his death.
