Courtnee began as a young plumber who treated Walker kindly and joined the delegation to Supply while questioning what would follow an assault on IT. She helped with the farmers’ pumps, comforted Shirly over Marck, and acted on Juliette’s warning to stop the exhaust plan during the fighting.
Juliette later placed Courtnee in charge of the excavation. She planned to use runners for messages and led people through after the breakthrough, providing lights, food, and showers for Jimmy and the children. During the crisis, she brought Walker to the tunnel and told Juliette that the children had already passed through with Juliette’s father.
On the other side, Courtnee initially pushed to dig home, fearing the rusted silo could sustain them for only a few days. She called Juliette’s proposed action against their attackers revenge and ordered a torch extinguished to conserve air. In Shirly’s absence she took charge of the mechanics, whose work included lighting, wiring, and automated pumps. Raph later said she repeatedly measured the digger’s fuel consumption.
After attending the survivors’ gathering, Courtnee reaches the bunker and traces its electrical feed to the silver sheets on the roof.
