Yet he said Jimmy’s father would not admit him or the others, pressed a pistol against Solo’s chest, and dragged him down the hall. Jimmy’s father shot him.
Jimmy later saw Yani motionless on the monitor and believed he was dead; subsequent recollection confirms that his father killed Yani with a gun. Yani’s body remained outside the steel door. Jimmy remembered him when asked whether everyone was all right and remembers him again while crossing the gate at the now-empty security station.
