Race Shifter

The changeling racial skill for on-demand shapeshifting into borrowed races — with their powers — rather than a slow ten-minute change.

Story so far

Race Shifter is the changeling-race skill Mordecai describes when appraising Juice Box: it lets a changeling shift on demand (rather than the once-per-ten-minutes limit of crawlers who merely become changelings), morphing into a generic version of a touched race and then customizing it — and, crucially, gaining some of that race's abilities. At Juice Box's effective level ~15 it makes even a low-level changeling dangerous, chaining gorgon, rocksling, and forge-ogre forms in seconds.

Role

The changeling racial power for rapid, ability-borrowing shapeshifting.

Relationships
