Burn Gel

fire gel · the burn gel

A hot, bright, near-unquenchable flammable gel Carl crafts from moonshine and Mordecai's paste — perfect for burning an ooze.

Story so far

Burn Gel is a flammable gel Carl developed with Mordecai, having steered the mentor into 'inventing' it by mentioning how he used to set hand sanitizer alight. Made from moonshine plus a paste Mordecai concocts, it burns hot, bright, long, and with little smoke, but has a toothpaste-like consistency that makes it slow to apply — impractical in fast combat, but ideal for a deliberate burn. Carl carries a plastic bagful loaded into a funnel like a cake-decorating syringe, and uses it to douse the recliner over the Sand Ooze's core; torched, it burns white-hot and cannot be smothered even as the ooze buries it, killing the boss (and burning hot enough to help collapse the castle).

Appearance

A thick, cloudy, toothpaste-consistency gel, dispensed from a funnel/syringe; burns white-hot and bright with little smoke.

Role

Carl's slow-applying but intensely hot incendiary, decisive against the fire-resistant ooze.

Relationships

Carl — Its maker and user, who torches the ooze core with it.
Mordecai — The mentor steered into 'inventing' its recipe.
Sand Ooze — The boss it burns to death past its ability to smother flame.
