Story so far
Carl finds scores or hundreds of dead monk seals on the Florida beach after the keymaster battle. A representative corpse, Chuy, is identified as a level-sixty-five Monk Seal Warrior killed in mass combat.
Their bodies are mixed with land-crab remains, gold, and magical equipment. Because the Cuba and Florida regions are not supposed to connect this way, their arrival acts as an artificial warning of a large war rather than ordinary drift.

Their deaths provide the first physical evidence of catastrophic mass combat spilling symbolically out of Cuba.
