Mantis Nymph

Diwata's Babies

Fast level-20 mantis offspring swarm stairwells and the changeling route in numbers large enough to overturn the underground infiltration.

Story so far

Diwata's ongoing birth spell produces flesh-and-blood winged nymphs throughout the high-elf region. Though only level 20, they arrive continuously, fly quickly, and mass around every strategic access point.

The creatures attack crawler-held stairwells and surround Sledge's changeling convoy. Rather than force the underground tunnel, the convoy aborts and calls the Twister for pickup, accepting the need to assault armed sentinel towers from the air.

Appearance

A fast young mantis with wings and traces of divine forest traits.

Role

The nymphs counter the changeling evacuation and force a loud aerial insertion.

Relationships

Diwata's Birth Spell — They are continuously produced by it.

Vrah — They are biologically her children and divine siblings.

Sledge — They block his intended tunnel route.

The Twister — Its pickup becomes the alternative to fighting through them.
