Barrel Bomb

Barrel bombs

Carl's improvised explosives, used at quarter strength to level a couple of blocks of Zockau.

Story so far

Mordecai accuses Carl of blowing up Zockau. Carl objects that it was only one or two square blocks, and that the barrel bombs he used were only about a fourth the strength he could have made them. He already has a plan for another one that is really big — huge, he says, with an exploding motion of his hand — because the best part about this floor is all the room it gives him for explosions.

Combined with Princess Donut's kill, the strike accounted for 35 of the Hunters, though Mordecai counters that this is only a handful of the total.

Appearance

Barrel-sized improvised explosive devices, scaled up or down by how much Carl chooses to pack into them.

Role

Carl's signature demolition tool on the ninth floor.

Relationships

Carl — Builds and deploys them, deliberately underloaded so far.
Zockau — A block or two of the city fell to them.
Hunters — Killed dozens of them in the opening strike.
