Carl's new personal-space room for virtually simulating explosions and dissecting real bombs at a specialty bench.
One of the two new rooms Carl bought with the party's gold, the Advanced Bomber's Studio is only about ten feet wide but very long, making him feel like he's standing in a private bowling alley. Its first function is virtual: he can copy a design or an existing explosive into the studio, place it with miniature simulated people, groups, or entire villages, detonate it harmlessly, pause the blast, and study the direction of the yield to tweak delivery. Being an "advanced" studio, he can also test bombs he doesn't own — for now limited to items already in his inventory. The cookbook warns the simulator only gives a range of possibilities, since thousands of environmental factors change how something actually goes up.
Its second function is the crafting table at the very back, a specialty workbench that at level one is weaker than his level-five Sapper's Table for building from scratch, but which can examine and dissect explosives and is absolutely required to engineer certain large-scale bombs. It is here that Carl first dares to set down Carl's Doomsday Scenario and copy it into the simulator.
A long, narrow room about ten feet wide, like a private bowling alley, with a virtual testing area and a specialty crafting bench at the far end.
