The Instacot 60

the Instacot · Instacot 60

The second-best bed on the market: sixty seconds of sleep, Great Rest, and a fifteen percent stat bonus.

Story so far

When The Royal Court of Princess Donut joins Safehome Yolanda, the guild unlocks multiple upgrades for the Personal Space, and they begin installing themselves before anyone chooses them. Mordecai had specifically warned Carl not to place anything until after Katia left the party; the system announces that the beds have been upgraded to the Instacot 60 anyway, and Mordecai demands to know what he had just said.

The Instacot is the second best bed on the market. It refreshes its user after sixty seconds of sleep, upgrades their Good Rest bonus to Great Rest, and imparts a whopping fifteen percent bonus to their stats for the day. It is, mechanically, one of the largest passive improvements the party has ever received.

Carl hates it. "Goddamnit," he grumbles, and records that he absolutely hated the idea of it — without explaining why, and without the numbers making any difference to that.

Appearance

A bed that replaces the previous cots outright, installed automatically when the upgrade lands.

Role

The party's new automatic bed upgrade, granting Great Rest and a fifteen percent daily stat bonus Carl resents receiving.

Relationships

Carl — Its unwilling beneficiary; he hates the idea of it despite the enormous bonus.
Mordecai — Warned twice against placing upgrades early and was overruled by the upgrade installing itself.
Safehome Yolanda — Joining the guild is what unlocked it.
