character

Britney

Britney draws Imogen's final lightning with her butterfly coat, saving the surviving crawlers but suffering permanent facial burns and losing Firas.

Story so far

As Imogen charges a final attack that strengthens with her declining health, Carl throws the disco-ball projectile and shouts for Britney to use her jacket. The butterfly effect attracts the lightning away from its intended devastation.

The strike badly burns Britney's face. Healing stabilizes her but does not restore its appearance, suggesting the injury may be lasting. Firas dies in the same intervention while Louis survives with lesser burns.

Afterward Britney wakes and embraces Louis at the stairwell, both facing Firas's death.

Appearance

A young crawler with severe magical burns across her face, embracing another survivor near the stairs.

Role

Britney absorbs the decisive lightning attack and preserves the group at a devastating personal cost.

Relationships

Firas — He dies during the lightning diversion she creates.
Louis — She reunites with the burned and grieving survivor.
Queen Imogen — She redirects the queen's final attack.
