Story so far

Hunter pulse rifles behave like portable heavy machine guns with unlimited full-power magical projectiles. A shot nearly removes Bautista's head, and another punches a grapefruit-sized hole through Gwen's torso. She heals because the system does not classify the wound as an amputation.

The shots are not technically magic, allowing ordinary shield spells to block them. The rifles themselves shatter relatively easily when reached. Their extreme lethality at range makes every identified user a priority target.
