A famous intoxicated Gleener set designer who judges beside Carl and helps guarantee Lix's victory.
Hurk is a human-sized blue Gleener attending CrawlCon virtually from a liquid tank. His single-name badge reflects broad fame as a designer of The Desperado Club and other dungeon sets, as well as a perennial convention panelist.
He gives most children very low scores, but agrees to score Lix highly after Carl promises to praise the Desperado Club at his next panel. He later warns Carl that the public truly sees him and reveals the hostile family connection of the panel's moderator.
A jovial blue fish-like alien floating in a virtual liquid tank and speaking with a formal theatrical accent.
Hurk is Carl's corrupt but informative fellow judge and a veteran observer of crawler celebrity.
