The Guild Common Area

the common area · Guild Common Area

A shared room behind a brand-new door, with a Bopca merchant and sixty-three crawlers' worth of neighbours.

Story so far

The moment The Royal Court of Princess Donut is absorbed into Safehome Yolanda, a new door appears in the Personal Space to the left of the door to the outside, labelled Guild Common Area. It is the physical expression of guild membership: a shared space connecting six parties and sixty-three crawlers, reachable from every member's private quarters.

Katia's plan runs through it. Once the Royal Palace is brought into the guild, they can go to the Bopca in the common area and make the upgrade purchase together, with Princess Donut buying because she has the highest charisma of all of them. It is also where Princess Donut will finally meet everyone she has not met yet — the rest of the guild she has been fighting alongside at a distance.

Nobody actually walks through the door in this chapter. Princess Donut goes to shower first, Katia waits, and before the shopping trip can happen an explosion rattles the space and the attack on Point Mongo begins. Katia notes that the blast did not come from the common area.

Appearance

Unseen so far — known only by the label on a newly materialised door and by what is said to be inside it: a Bopca merchant and the rest of the guild.

Role

The shared guild hub unlocked by joining Safehome Yolanda, containing the Bopca through whom the group's upgrade will be purchased.

Relationships

Safehome Yolanda — Membership in the guild is what makes the door appear.
Bopca — Staffs the common area as the merchant the group intends to buy the upgrade from.
Princess Donut — Meant to walk in and meet the rest of the guild, and interrupted by an attack before she can.
