Remote Celebrity Judges

Masquerade Judges

Three off-world judges appear inside the ballroom through a projection that gives them strange auras, light touch, scent, and remote service.

Story so far

The panel consists of Empress D'Nadia, a tall thin soother, and an upward-mouthed jello-like alien. Their goodwill projection is convincing enough to smell and touch lightly but does not place their real bodies in the castle.

An ethereal hand appears before D'Nadia, passes her a drink, and vanishes, showing that staff or technology outside the visible overlay can serve them. Signet immediately recognizes their auras differ from every in-world being and treats that as evidence for Carl's claims about off-world control.

Appearance

Three alien judges seated at a raised table with faintly unreal auras and disembodied service hands.

Role

The judges provide Signet with observable seams between her world and the outside production.

Relationships

Empress D'Nadia — She is the most recognizable member and receives the remote drink.
Signet — She approaches them to investigate and converse.
Carl — He identifies them as outside controllers.
Worn Path Method — Their strange presence supplies evidence that can derail Signet's false worldview.
