The Xistera

xistera extension

Carl's long-range throwing scoop, repurposed to launch and recall Samantha as a guided counter-artillery projectile.

Story so far

Carl loads Samantha face-down in the xistera with twin missile exhausts pointed at his chest. After levitating and locating the hunters, he uses a deliberately restrained throw to arc her toward their clearing.

The extension can recall its ammunition, allowing Carl to summon Samantha back after detonation; her bite brings unconscious Akland with her.

Appearance

A curved throwing extension long enough to cradle a disembodied head fitted with miniature rockets.

Role

The xistera supplies both delivery and recall for the improvised guided weapon.

Relationships

Carl — His extreme throwing range makes the distant strike possible.

Samantha — She becomes living ammunition that the xistera can retrieve.
