Cracker Jack Scroll
Cracker Jack · cracker-jack
A rare scroll removes the individual-recipient lock from sponsored equipment so someone else can use it.
Story so far
Benefactor equipment commonly binds to the intended hunter or crawler, preventing allies from murdering the recipient for immediate upgrades. Donut's sunglasses carry this restriction, as do captured pulse rifles and electric armor.
Cracker Jack can break that lock and free an item for a new owner. None of Carl's known allies possesses the rare scroll, so the coalition hoards restricted gear in hope of finding one later.
Appearance
A rare magical scroll marked with a broken ownership lock.
Role
The scroll is the missing key to converting captured sponsored weapons into crawler equipment.
Relationships
Hunter Pulse Rifle — It could free a captured rifle from its dead owner's restriction.
Hunter Electric Body Armor — It could make the armor wearable by crawlers.
Princess Donut — Her sunglasses are another example of recipient-locked gear.
