An apparently impossible memorial crystal for the still-active goddess Apito returns to Imogen and is recovered from her corpse by Osvaldo.
Nobody purchases the crystal from the prize counter, so it returns to Queen Imogen. After her death it appears directly on her body and on the shared treasure map rather than as ordinary inventory loot.
Osvaldo recovers it first, while Prepotente claims entitlement through his damage contribution and killing blow. Both Carl and Prepotente receive or hold quest reasons to investigate it.
Its existence is paradoxical because memorial crystals imply a dead subject, yet Apito operated the Masquerade. Emberus updates Carl's search for Geyrun's killer and suggests the crystal may bear on the murder.
A luminous memorial crystal associated with the goddess Apito.
The crystal links Imogen, Apito's uncertain status, Geyrun's murder, and the next-stage conflict over ownership.
