Zerzura moves an entire town and its friendly population down a floor, but chooses a disastrous landing and creates relentless revenants from everything crushed beneath it.
The five-minute spell transfers a complete town—buildings, residents, and friendly NPCs—one floor downward. It excludes hostile mobs, enemies, stairwells, prize rooms, and other special spaces. The caster need not be mayor, but a miscast cannot be retried and the spell may only be used near the end of a floor.
On Scolopendra levels it skips floors. A sixth-floor cast lands on the ninth. The destination cannot be aimed and generally places the town in a monster nest, boss room, or hostile faction territory, though never atop an existing town. Everything crushed by the arrival resurrects as a Child of Inpewt, and every villager plus the caster is marked for pursuit.
Quasar negotiates for the spell to be installed in Sledge so the changeling village can bypass the seventh and eighth floors. They must protect his full cast, then flee the random ninth-floor landing from revenants, survivors, and faction armies.
A city-scale teleportation spell enveloping every building and resident before dropping the settlement onto a lower-floor battlefield.
Zerzura is the dangerous compromise that can move the changelings to the ninth floor without the coordinate gate.
