The royal mantis government has prepaid the Dark Hive for all hunt loot to be delivered directly to the ninth floor.

Story so far

The Burrowers are the mantis royal family and governing entity, distinct from the private Dark Hive corporation. They prepay for every magical item Edict acquires, and the Dark Hive sells exclusively to them.

Edict plans to travel directly to the ninth floor when the current floor collapses. Though the Burrowers are feared across the galaxy and participate in faction wars, their generated non-mantis NPC armies usually perform poorly and are eliminated shortly after the nagas.

Appearance

A royal mantis power represented by an empress mother and a feared governmental military.

Role

The Burrowers' executed contract prevents Edict from using collected gear to buy Carl's protection.

Edict — He works for them as the contracted collector and delivery agent.
