Small vicious wolverine-like burrowers used for controlled grinding until Mongo begins killing them too efficiently.

Story so far

The party spends nearly three hours fighting slickbacks while traveling toward Fort Freedom. The half-sized wolverine creatures burst from holes but are easy to kill because Princess Donut detects them before emergence.

After sunset they withdraw deeper underground and give way to predatory bat-like creatures. Mongo is stored because his gleeful massacre denies the crawlers experience.

Appearance

Vicious half-sized wolverine-like animals erupting from burrows in the forest floor.

Role

Slickbacks provide low-risk training and mark the daytime ecology of the route.
