Story so far

GoodNightLander Independent, or GI, is the small company from outside the Corporation Rim that has filed abandonment markers on GrayCris's derelict terraforming facility at Milu and set up the tractor array keeping it from breaking up in the atmosphere. Now beginning the formal process to take possession, GI has contracted a fact-finding research group, led by Don Abene with her colleague Hirune and their bot Miki, to enter the facility and report on its condition. GI's contract required the team to bring a security detail, so they hired the consultants Wilken and Gerth, though notably without any bond company or SecUnits.

The clean, well-maintained shuttle and generous provisioning mark GI as genuinely committed to the reclamation, a commitment the concealed Murderbot notes with something like respect.
