The Conquering

The war in which Luna's Golds rebelled against and defeated Earth, founding the Society's rule.

Story so far

The Conquering is the war that made the Society. As Luna colonized the Solar System, Earth's countries and corporations still taxed and claimed ownership they could not enforce, so Luna's Golds rose against them. Earth fought back and lost.

The victory turned Luna into the power and port of the Solar System and set the Colors hardening into the empire built on Red backs. Dancer frames it as the moment Gold seized humanity, and speaks of Gold butchering cities and continents to hold their conquest — the same wrath, he says, that not long ago reduced the world Rhea to ash. It is the founding violence the Golds romanticize and the Sons refuse to forget.

Appearance

Remembered as the rebellion and war of Luna's Golds against the nations of Earth, and the massacres that secured Gold rule.
