The willowy, dishonorable Oathbreaker from House Juno who becomes the first and coldest recruit of Darrow's new free army.
Milia leads the first band of Oathbreakers Darrow and Mustang trap by their fires in the northwoods — a tall willow of a girl with a long horseface and hunched shoulders, dressed in rags and stolen furs, marked a slave of Mars though her ring names her of House Juno. Daughter of Gaius au Trachus, Justiciar of the southern Martian hemisphere, she nonetheless spits on lineage: she would rather bear a Shamed's double shame than bruise her knees as a slave, and coolly promises to cut Darrow in the night. When he frees her of every House-mark and offers not slavery but purpose — no beatings, shared labor, blood for blood — she and her people join the Reaper's army.
Practical, wicked, and unsentimental, she becomes a trusted lieutenant and lookout, admitting the truth of them all: they like being valued by someone fearsome.
A tall, willowy young Gold girl with a long horseface and a slight hunch to her bony shoulders, wrapped in rags and stolen furs, a cold brittle manner.
Leader of the first Oathbreakers and a shrewd, ruthless lieutenant in Darrow's free army.
