Story so far

Matteo reaches ART in clean clothing and medical stabilization, then joins Kaede in designing an isolated run box for the contaminated code inside Murderbot. During manual reconstruction, Matteo handles damaged organic components and carries them to Martyn for remote consultation.

Matteo bluntly corrects Murderbot’s assumption that ART armed the pathfinders merely to rescue the university crew: the transport intended to threaten the entire colony until Murderbot was returned. That disclosure helps the SecUnit grasp the scale of its own retrieval.

After treatment, Matteo works with Overse, Tarik, and Kaede on the residue coating ART’s drive. The analysis supports quarantine and specialist decontamination while the reunited crew plans the colony response.

Appearance

Matteo is a small adult of unspecified skin tone and features, with abundant dark hair restored into braids. Clean dark-blue crew clothing and medical treatment replace the bloodied garments of captivity.

Role

Matteo is a technical problem-solver and direct truth-teller. Their work stabilizes Murderbot while their candor forces it to understand that the rescue was truly for the SecUnit itself.
