Evey

the winged girl

The Pink 'winged girl' Mickey once made, reborn as a ruthless Sons of Ares suicide bomber.

Story so far

Evey is the Pink Mickey once sculpted with wings—the girl Darrow knew as a fragile, birdlike innocent—now stripped of her wings by Mickey and given claws by Harmony. Posing as a syndicate courtesan in Lost City, she lures Darrow upstairs, recognizes the Red beneath his Obsidian disguise, and detonates a bomb that destroys the Lost Wee Den and kills nearly two hundred lowColors in a bid to assassinate the Jackal. She believes utterly in hurting the Golds—shaped by the agony of the Pink pain-implant Cupid's Kiss—and grieves not the dead but Darrow's disgust, insisting the Sons are not his enemies.

Appearance

A delicate, avian-boned Pink woman with willowy arms and pink eyes, ripened from a winged girl into a sensual beauty; wings now gone.

Role

A Sons of Ares operative and bomber; Mickey's former creation and Harmony's protege.

Relationships

Darrow — An old acquaintance from Mickey's den who sees the Red beneath his disguise and craves his approval even as he recoils at her killing.

Mickey — The Carver who made her wings, now her captive; she treats him with cold contempt.

Harmony — Her lover and mentor, who gave her claws and sent her, unknowing, on a suicide mission.
