Lutran

Dead Lutran · the deceased · the victim · the unidentified human

A veteran refugee-route planner is finally avenged when Balin’s hidden CombatBot function is exposed as his killer.

Story so far

Lutran spent years coordinating cargo transfers across Preservation and at least three allied polities to move contract-labor refugees toward safety. He met ten escapees from the Lalow in the Merchant Docks and placed them in a module bound for his transport. Balin, activated by BreharWallHan, redirected the module and crossed the station hull to wait inside the transport.

Balin stabbed Lutran through the base of the skull with the long needle-like rods in its hatch decoder, leaving no fragments. It sterilized his clothes and body, destroyed the transport bot pilot and memory, used his identity to summon a delivery cart, and dumped him in the station mall to draw attention away from the port. The locked-down station, Murderbot’s persistence, and the bot community’s final intervention expose the scheme. Lutran’s killers are captured and his last group reaches refuge, but his death leaves the wider escape network damaged and laborers still trapped in BreharWallHan’s mines.

Appearance

A human man of otherwise unknown features, dressed at death in a knee-length open coat, wide trousers, and a knee-length shirt covered in bright, eye-catching recycler-made patterns.

Role

Lutran is the murdered organizer whose quiet, years-long rescue work gives the solved crime both moral weight and unresolved consequences.
